About Us

 

Arian Pony Stud was established in 2018 by Jaime and Rima Marurai in the sunny Wairarapa. 

 

"I had always wanted to follow my dream of breeding Welsh and Welsh Part Bred show ponies, life is too short to not live your dream so here we are!"

We breed Welsh Sec A, B & Cs and part bred welsh.  Breeding goals are to breed true to type for each section, good conformation and movement, great temperament, bling and colour.  Our part bred ponies are bred for the show ring as saddle hunter types with predominately welsh blood infused into the mix.  We currently have six broodmares in our herd, four sec A mares and two riding pony mares.  Occasionally we have broodmares for sale, most of our mares are proven under saddle as kids ponies.  

 

We only breed a small number of foals every year and often have a few for sale so don't forget to check out our For Sale page.  Being a boutique breeding stud, we don't have the room to keep them all and would rather see them out there enjoying life rather than being pretty paddock ornaments.

 

We also stand our stallions at public stud occasionally so please enquire if you are interested in breeding your mare.
